Reverse engineering to a solid model converts a 3D scan to the neutral CAD formats STEP, IGES or X_T. Simple geometry and NURBS surfaces are combined inside a solid model with minimal deviation to the 3D scan. Learn more: https://holocreators.com/reverse-engi...
The reverse engineering to solid model can convert a 3D scan (STL) as accurately as possible into a CAD solid model (STEP). If the 3D scan of a part contains both organically shaped surfaces and simple geometries (angular shapes, holes, threads), then this reverse engineering technique is required.
