The plants we normally talk about and refer to are dicotyledonous plants - multicellular plants that make seeds containing two cotyledons (organs that are food stores). They have the vascular bundle - xylem and phloem - to transport substances around the plant. Here we go through the basic functions and structures of these two vessels.
