THANK YOU to the Marian Chace Foundation (MCF) for their partnership with the ADTA’s #GivingTuesday Grant Program. Through the support of the MCF, the ADTA is able to offer grants to dance/movement therapists to provide dance/movement therapy to underserved populations. The mission of ADTA’s #GivingTuesday projects is to provide underserved populations with dance/movement therapy, to increase job opportunities for members, and to educate the public. All donations to the MCF for #GivingTuesday are 100% tax deductible. PLEASE ask your friends and families to help us serve others.

#GivingTuesday 2017 will focus on Outreach to Refugees.

ADTA’s #GivingTuesday Outreach to Refugees Grants:
The rationale: Human response to the loss and trauma of displacement are often devastating, and can undermine an individual’s ability to function, connect and engage. Dance/movement therapy, as an intervention that does not rely solely on verbal communication, can offer individuals experiences that support an increased sense of safety, acculturation and socialization. Our #GT OUTREACH to REFUGEES project will offer displaced persons an opportunity to restore a sense of connection and belonging.
