This past weekend I had some quality over quantity viewing of wildlife at the ARNWR. I didn't see many animals, but several of the bears and the otter I saw approached where I had set up. The red wolf sightings did not share in this fortune, but I count any view of a red wolf as a quality experience, given their rarity. All sightings were within an hour of sunrise, so recommend you go to breakfast after doing some viewing, if you plan to go.
