Way before the current boom in live-action Disney reboots, the company extended their most beloved movies through direct-to-video sequels, prequels, and mid-quels. Starting with 1994’s Aladdin sequel The Return of Jafar, Disney made sure their straight to DVD releases were there to give fans more of what they wanted. And what an amazing number of titles there are to choose from!

In this video, we’re ranking Disney’s straight to DVD movies by just how weird they got. Sometimes the movies were simply odd choices for sequels like The Fox and the Hound 2 or Bambi II. Sometimes they just didn’t add anything to the original story like Cinderella II: Dreams Come True or Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. And sometimes the stories were just odd like Leroy & Stitch. Some were even pretty solid efforts like Aladdin and the King of Thieves and The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride.
