First time bracket racing, eliminated first race LOL. After running an 11.0 during the time trials, track told me I could continue into the brackets if I stayed over 11.50. First attempt during time trials went well, cut my best 60 foot yet on the street tires with a 1.69 giving it about half throttle off the line, let off completely at the 1/8th and ran an 11.7 (close!). This was the first round of actual brackets. Tried to go WOT off the line and the tires didn’t like it. 1.9 60’ and let off too soon only running a 12.1 to my 11.5 dial. Car I was racing ran 13.49 to his 13.1 dial in. Wasn’t even thinking at the time that If he was crossing the finish line before me, I shouldn’t have been letting off lol. Seems to be difficult bracket racing in a car you’re still sorting out and have to slow down to not get booted but still a lot of fun and looking forward to more ECIRS events.
