I really enjoyed watching this rare performance of Emotions by Mariah Carey. This one definitely highlighted a lot of her vocal issues such as nodules, inflammation and fatigue. We had some serious displays of raspiness and clear irritation, but it was interesting to hear the way she played with her phrasing, articulation and rhythm to still make the performance interesting.
