Sloths of the past are of endless fascination. These giants of the ancient world diversified into countless species, ranging from North to South America, only to vanish a few thousand years ago. Why did they get so big? How did they go extinct? And what about those massive tunnels they apparently dug?
JULIA TEJADA is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Evolutionary Sciences at the University of Montpellier focussing on vertebrate palaeontology and mammalian evolution. She is known for her work on the extinct giant sloths of the ancient Americas.
