The updated Volkswagen Atlas is as handsome as ever and is mildly more refined. The big improvements happen inside and they are welcomed. Unfortunately, ride quality isn't up to snuff. The 21-inch wheels and tires on the tester cut comfort down on less than perfect road surfaces. The 2.0T is adequate but some form of electrification would help bridge the gap between power and efficiency.
