The new 2021 BMW 228i xDrive Gran Coupe is a new model in the BMW lineup. The BMW 228 Gran Coupe is different from the regular 2-Series coupe and cabriolet we have enjoyed for several years. This latest BMW 228 Grand Coupe is based on the same platform as the BMW X1, X2 and Mini Countryman. This is a front wheel drive based platform that provides more interior space and a very agile drive. With 228hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, this all-new BMW 228 Gran Coupe will make a run to 100km/h in just 6.1-second and the more powerful BMW 235i Gran Coupe, with 301hp will do the same 0-100km/h in 4.9-seconds. The BMW Gran Coupe shows its utility roots, thanks to a flat opening at the rear cargo area and fully-flat rear seats. The BMW 228 Gran Coupe is a fun car to drive and delivers on a lot of front except rear seat comfort and interior materials. The BMW 228 Gran Coupe has room for 5-passengers over two rows but the back seat isn't comfortable and offers limited room. Unlike the 2-Seies Coupe and Cabriolet, this Gran Coupe is not offered with a manual transmission or with the 3.0L in-line 6-cylinder engine.
