This is the best airbrush spray booth exhaust fan for the price.

If you used lacquer paints for your gunpla, scale models, miniatures or resin kits, it is important to have adequate ventilation. The volatile chemicals and solvents used in these paints are toxic and carcinogenic. I half-assed my first ventilation system because it was supposed to just be a temporary thing until I moved but I learned my lesson the hard way after filling my garage with overspray… all over my car too.

Since I installed the system with this fan, not a single particle of overspray has escaped the typhoon-like suction at the back of my booth, it is 1000 times better and more importantly 1000 times more safe for my family and I without having to sacrifice the quality and strength of lacquer paints as compared to acrylics.

From Lowes (or whatever hardware store):

Industrial 3 terminal switch
Single gang box and matching switch cover
Any type of silicone caulking
Wire nut
Screws to mount the gang-box on your booth


I also used a computer power supply cable as my power source. Anyone who build PC’s probably has a few of these hanging around. If not you can find plugs at the hardware store that allow you to connect the wires easily.
