Rod Romain, chief engineer of the Ram 1500, talks about the new 3rd generation 3.0-liter EcoDiesel which tops the growing diesel ½-ton segment with most torque at 480 foot pounds and best towing at 12,560 pounds. The fuel-sipping V6 will be available in all Ram 1500 models including Rebel and Tradesman. Romain also gives a demo of the Multifunction Tailgate which is designed to provide more efficient bed access while supporting up to 2,000 pounds.
