Something that we all need to be reminded of sometimes is that THE HOUSELESS ARE VICTIMS OF CRIME AT A MUCH HIGHER RATE THAN THE REST OF SOCIETY. Violence is common on the street for sure but it is the constant fear of theft that renders living outside walls so difficult.

Many of you have watched our recent film "LOST & FOUND IN THE PARK", and today we bring a difficult update: one of the people who graciously agreed to talk to us on camera, Ambur, a young woman who's trying to build a better future for herself through her creative work and choices of how she spends her little money, was robbed of much of what she owned. The irony here is that her things were in a supposedly "secure resting place" adjacent to the Chico Airport... What happened to her is sad and shocking and comes as yet another reminder that we collectively need to do more to help our most at-risk fellow citizens.
In this video, Ambur explains what happened to her. At RR, we decided to make this video in the hope to elicit the help she needs to buy again what was taken from her. We felt compelled to help her get out of the rut.
