Strength is important for passing selection for British Airborne Forces. Paratroopers have to carry huge bergens full of ammunition, radio's and weapons over large distances. Add to this the weight of an LLP parachute and reserve, and it becomes clear that you need to be strong to pass selection for British Airborne Forces.
