We spent 12 hours in Tucson Arizona and with no advance planning or knowledge. We found a cactus, a mountain and a cookie. We tried to go to Old Tucson, but it was closed. It's the place where they do a lot of old west films, which is why I selected the music for this video.

It was 103 in Tucson and up in the mountain town of Summerhaven it was only 74 degrees. It was a little alpine oasis in the desert.

There are also 2 national observatories with large telescopes which hold viewing sessions for the public throughout the year, both about 45 minutes from Tucson.

We stayed at Town Place Suites by Marriott. I had never stayed at a Town Place, usually I'm at a Spring Hill Suites or a Marriott hotel kind of guy.
This Town Place had the most wheelchair accessible bathroom I have ever stayed in for under $125/night. Most important, the shower bench folds down and felt very solid, and the water hose wand was places next to the seat. Most places put the water wand up next to the shower head making it impossible to reach, see my video at Spring Hill Suites in Las Cruses, NM.
