I've been dying to purchase another Land Rover for the channel since the very beginning, and I've always been interested in the Land Rover Discovery 2. After getting settled in Florida, we decided it was finally time to invest in another Land Rover for the channel to go alongside the 2011 Range Rover L322 we have. After searching for a few weeks, looking at multiple Discovery models, P38As, and even an LR2, we finally found the Land Rover Discovery 2 that was perfect for what we were looking for!

More About This Video

The Land Rover Discovery 2 that we purchased in this video is one that is very special to me. As much as I love the Green Land Rover Disco 2, I've always been a huge fan of white Land Rover models. This particular Land Rover Discovery Series 2 was repainted by the previous owner, which I suspect was after the Disco 2 was in an accident. With that aside, the paint on this Land Rover Discovery 2 is in decent shape for an off-road vehicle nearly 20 years old.

This Discovery Land Rover also came with an ARB front bumper, which is something I was VERY interested in. It was one of the things that drew me most to this 2002 Land Rover Discovery 2. The ARB front bumper on this Landy Disco 2 is actually made for the Land Rover Discovery (original Disco); however, it was welded to fit our 2002 Land Rover Discovery 2.

On top of that, this 2002 Discovery had something else I was interested in - a facelift. This 2002 model is fitted with the 2004 headlights. Better yet, though, the entire interior was swapped out from the original brown interior to a black interior from a 2003 Land Rover Discovery. The dashboard was dyed black, and the seats are in near perfect condition.

That's not all, though. This 2002 Land Rover Discovery 2 was unique to me because it is a Land Rover Discovery SD7. Most SD model Discovery 2 Land Rovers came without the 3rd-row seats and dual sunroofs. However, the previous owner chose to spec this 2002 Land Rover Discovery as an SD7, meaning it has 7 seats and two sunroofs - although one is sealed shut... It is a Land Rover after all...

I'm excited to share more about the quirks, features, and character of our new Land Rover Discovery 2. I'll explain what our plan for it is in the near future, but don't worry. This 2002 Land Rover Discovery will be making the trek from Daytona Beach, Florida to Asheville, North Carolina next month to participate in Land Rover Owner's Day. After Land Rover Owner's Day, we'll be taking this Land Rover Disco 2 over to Hurricane Creek Trail in North Carolina. It's going to be an amazing experience with our Discovery Series 2 Land Rover, and I'm excited to bring you along.
