Operationalization is the process of transforming your concepts into indicators that you can measure or observe. Operationalization is part of every research process. It is the transition from theory to empirical research. The goal of this lecture is to 1) enhance your capacity to conceptualize, design and conduct observational research and 2) formalize an appropriate research strategy and study design based on best practices.
