If you can’t solo right now, but you’d like to one day and do it in a short time frame, it is definitely possible! But, you need to commit to an approach that yields fast results.

Putting in the time every single day won’t guarantee it happens. What’s important is just a little bit of time each day to make sure you are doing three things. They are; learning the best scale shapes, training on solid finger patterns and developing real musical application.

When it comes to soloing, everything boils down to what I call the three C’s. They are; the scales you “consume,” the “conditioning” (physical & mental) you do to memorize scale patterns and “consistency” for applying those shapes.

I have a dedicated this lesson to exactly how you can approach achieving each of these areas with the Minor Pentatonic scale. In it, I establish two levels of the scale on guitar.

I’ve organized an application method that’s focused on making “Riff-Based” jams and using a “licks between chords” approach. Additionally, I’ve created a jam track to get you working at creating melody.

This method isn’t foolproof, but it will help you know what to do each day for getting solos to happen within a calculated system. It will get you solid training for the scale and help you determine a charted path to be able to succeed.
