In this video I talk about the differences between the gen2 Cayman S 987.2 and the gen3 Cayman S 981. I also make reference to the base model Cayman and Boxster models. There are some significant changes to the body construction on the 981’s compared to the 987 and it also has a number of upgraded technology packages which include,

• A more sophisticated Thermal management system for the engine 9A1, transmission and heating system
• Auto Start Stop function
• Battery management system with vehicle electrical system recuperation
• Variable deceleration fuel cutoff
• Electro power steering
• Electronic handbrake
• Intermediate throttle application (Rev matching)
• Coasting in conjunction with (PDK) auto gearbox
• Optional dynamic engine mounts
• And the oil level measurement has a better segment display in the instrument cluster as well as gearshift recommendation.
