In this video I’m going to show you how you can use the Virtual Surveyor software for stockpile inventory with drone data.

I will show you how to set materials and calculate volumes, tonnages and values for your stockpiles.

With that, here’s a quick preview of the steps that I’ll cover in this video.

First, I describe the work site at a glance. You will see how dredged material is processed and separated in different fractions.

Then, I will show you how to setup a materials library with respective densities and monetary values.

In the next step, I will show you an easy way on how to remove conveyors that are often hanging over the stockpiles.

After that, I will demonstrate how to delineate the pile, assign a material, set a reference level and calculate the stockpile.

I will also present you an advanced method to set reference surfaces for sites that are not flat. This is usually the case as water needs to be drained from every site.

Then, I will generate a PDF report and describe its different components like the overview map, the summary table and the details per pile.

Finally, I will show you the best practice on how to create stockpile inventories at regular time intervals. I will do this by creating a baseline terrain that corresponds to an empty site.
