In this class, we’ll explore poses that stimulate the meridians associated with the wood element in Chinese medicine. This element is associated with growth, direction, and reaching our goals.

When to practice: whenever it fits your schedule and feels most supportive to you. Ultimately, it’s your call.

How often to practice: I usually recommend practicing some form of yoga at least three times/ week for my one-on-one clients, more often if it feels good to do so and it works for their schedule, less often if it doesn’t. Ultimately, it’s your call.

Journal Prompts/ Reflection Questions

* How did I feel before I started this class?
* How do I feel now, after class?
* In this practice, we explored the meridians associated with the wood element via yoga poses that stimulate the parts of our bodies where these meridians are located. The wood element and its associated organs are linked to our sense of direction and growth.

It can be so easy to focus on how far you still have to go, but it's important to acknowledge how far you've come too! In your journal, write a letter to yourself to celebrate yourself for the ways you have grown, matured, and moved closer to your goals.
