It's been six months since I first rooted my sugar cane cuttings. I started them in October 2014 and we've had a warm winter so they've grown constantly. Now it's April 2015 and the weather is still unseasonably hot so they are picking up speed. I can only imagine how tall the canes will be by September. I decided to leave them in the container (and not put them out in the ground) after I watched a video by leadfarmer 73 who grew cane in a container that was not self-watering.
