At around 12:05pm a San Marcos deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on Rancho Santa Fe, the suspect took off and a pursuit was initiated. Due to the reckless driving of the suspect the pursuit was terminated near Carlsbad. Astrea arrived and located the vehicle in South East Vista near Specialty Dr. Deputies arrived and ordered the suspect to exit the vehicle but the suspect failed to comply and covered the front windshield. After sometime deputies broke a window on the vehicle and deployed pepper balls. The suspect then exited the vehicle and surrendered. There is no additional information at this time
