Hello folks! In this video I will be using a woodturning lathe to make a percussion instrument, the Guiro.

I'm not sure what the wood is but it looks a bit like white walnut/butternut.

This was a relatively straightforward project until I went to cut what should have only been a narrow slot down the hollow section, had a bit of drift on the bandsaw blade and cut it all wonky but no matter, the Dremel came out and there was a design change. Worked out too as each side now has a slightly different pitch when struck/scraped.
