The main difference between hypothyroidism vs Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Even though they are BOTH thyroid diseases they are VERY different from one another.

Hashimoto's is both an autoimmune disease AND a thyroid problem. Hypothyroidism is just a thyroid problem.

Have you ever wondered about the difference between hypothyroidism and hashimoto's thyroiditis?

It's actually not that complicated but it's a very important thing to understand because EACH condition is treated differently. In addition, what causes hypothyroidism does not necessarily cause Hashimoto's and vice versa.

Hashimoto's will almost always result in hypothyroidism but not all cases of hypothyroidism are caused by Hashimoto's (the list is actually more diverse).

Learn how to identify the difference between these conditions, what the conditions mean for you, what causes them, and how they are treated.
