Mohamed (May God grant him His grace and peace) long before he left Mecca. According to Muslim scholars, this sura occupies the 77th place in the chronological order of revelations, just after Sura At Tur or the Mountain.

Called Al Mulk with reference to the same expression in the first verse. So that people can easily digest it, this surah briefly introduces the entire teachings of Islam and emphasizes the different aspects of Muhammad's prophetic mission (May God grant him His grace and peace). A specific characteristic of the first suras descended to Mecca.

The purpose of this surah is to make the ignorant think and wake up by acting on their inert consciousness. In the first verses, the sura glorifies Allah while reminding man, that the universe in which he lives a divine creation more than perfect, well organized, to the point that no one will succeed in detecting the slightest flaw or weakness. This kingdom created out of nothing and as it has been described in Surah, shows the power of Allah. Moreover, Man is warned that he was not sent to this world without a goal or objective, but rather to pass a test which he can only pass by proving his good faith and his faithful belief.

In Surah Al Mulk, three themes are mentioned, namely:

- the majesty of God and his power to give and take life
- proof of its uniqueness
- the destiny reserved for the disbelievers on the day of the Resurrection

The sura warns the unbelievers, reminding them of the exact mission of the Prophets. Indeed, as part of his mission, the Prophet (God grant him His grace and His peace) only warns people of the arrival of that inevitable day. As for the time and date of the Day of Resurrection, only Allah can designate them.

In the end, the sura ends with a question that God asks the ignorant to urge them to meditate and to provoke their reflection “What do you think? If the water you have was absorbed into the earth, who then would you get pure water? ". Obviously, no one will be able to make the water flow except Allah the Almighty. And therefore, we must not deny the inevitable arrival of the Day of Resurrection.
