The idea of mastering your emotions is not a new one, and here I'll give you my take on some of the therapeutic approaches we've become accustomed to when it comes to helping our clients control their emotions.

I'll share a response a psychologist friend gave to the thought that it is better to 'feel the full force of your feelings and express those feelings' in therapy, as well as 3 tips you can use to plant the seed of self-mastery in your client's mind and watch them grow.
