“Krákumál” is a text by an anonymous Scottish writer, composed in 13th century. The text was thought as Ragnarr Loðbrók’s death speech, a semi-legendary Viking king who lived hypothetically between 8th and 9th century. It seems he died in 865 in Northumbria (Great Britain), when king Ælla II had him executed by throwing him in a pit of snakes.

I know a transcription in runes of such a text doesn’t really have any reason to be, if not as a treat, but yeah…that’s just what it is, bear with me.

Any suggestion and/or observation is warmly welcome.

The lyrics are pronounced as modern Icelandic, instead of using Old Norse pronunciation: e.g. they sing “á” with its Icelandic pronunciation [au], instead of a simple [a:].
