The BMW M4 is by far one of the greatest cars I have ever had the chance to drive, and after the first few minutes behind the wheel, I was completely in love with the driving experience of the M4. The F83 BMW M4 is such an experience to drive, and in many ways, its clear to see how the platform became one of BMWs most popular M-cars.

About this video: The BMW M4 has become one of my favorite cars that we own. The car it replaced (2014 BMW 428i M-Sport) always felt a little sluggish and underpowered to me after we purchased our V8 Vantage in 2020. However, about a month ago, Nic traded in his daily driver 428i in for a stunning Yas Marina blue BMW M4 convertible. From there, my perception of the 4 Series changed completely.
Nic had been daily driving a 4 Series for a few years since early 2017, and frankly, after all those years, the 4 Series didn't excite me the way it did when he first got it. It felt like it was underpowered and toned down from what the platform could truly be. And after getting the chance to drive his 2015 BMW M4 F8x for the first time, I can confidently say I found out why the 428i was toned down.
The M4 is by far one of the greatest cars I've had the chance to drive. The acceleration and exhaust note coming from the M4 provide the driver with such an experience unmatched by other cars in its class. While AMGs feel more along the lines of a muscle car and Porsche's Boxter offering feels like a mid-engine MX5 that lacks nearly all character, the M4 is the perfect balance of just about everything.
It feels like a perfect mix of sports car and muscle car. It's a near perfect balance of character and precision, which is difficult for most manufactures to pull together. The F83 BMW M4 is truly a stunning car in just about every way. The only complaint I had after driving the car for the first time was that I wasn't able to drive it longer.
