This week’s topic — “Mullah Nasruddin’s Quest for the Kitab al Sirr”

Stories are important to the various Sufi traditions, and some of the most important stories are those of Mullah Nasruddin Hoja. Some of these stories can be said to be “legomanisms,” bits of culture containing timeless truths. But if nothing else, they are good for a laugh.

This evening, we are going to explore the story of a series of events from the Mullah’s early life, specifically his search for the Kitab al Sirr, the book of the secret.

What is this book? Did the Mullah ever find it? What did he learn from his search? Well, if you wish to find out, you will just have to join us for the story, and then stick around for the discussion after.
